Trails Engelberg 100k, 59k & 25k

Your entry will include:

By Train

National and international connections (from Zurich airport connections every half hour with approx. 1h travel time) to Lucerne.

Then with the Zentralbahn in 45 minutes through varied landscape and gorges up to Engelberg. Also the combination with the ship has its charm: from Lucerne by sea to Beckenried and from there by public bus and train to Engelberg. The timetable of the public transportation provides all connections and you can buy your ticket directly online.

By Airplane

National and international connections to Zurich, Basel and Geneva. From Zurich airport, train connections every half hour with approx. 1 hour travel time to Lucerne railroad station.

Then with the Zentralbahn in 45 minutes through varied landscape and gorges up to Engelberg. The combination with the ship also has its charm: from Lucerne by boat to Stansstad or Buochs and from there by public bus and train to Engelberg.

By car:

Motorway A2 (Basel - Gotthard), take exit Stans-Süd and follow the all-year open main road 20 km to Engelberg. Engelberg is located 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Zurich and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel.

Event village opens

04:30 (registration opens 1hr 30 mins before the first start)

Bag drop

Secure area in the event village where you can leave your baggage. Baggage tag is attached to your race number; tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage staff and they will help you find your baggage.

Toilets: Toilets will be available in the Event Village.

Water & refreshments

Every course will have an aid station approximately every 7-12 Km. Exact locations TBC.

100K, 24hrs (finish by 06:00)

56K, 14hrs (finish by 21:30)

25K, 8hrs (finish by 17:00)

25K, AS1 (5km) 11:10 · AS2 (13km) 14:30 · finish by 17:00.

Friends and family are welcome to come and cheer you on, with the Event Village and the finish area the best places to watch.

Kit is spot-checked at bib collection.

Mandatory for every distance: Running pack (vest/belt); Passport / ID card; Medical information; Mobile phone (80%+); Waterproof jacket; Whistle; Water bottle / bladder; Food reserves; Folding cup; Route map, GPX loaded to watch, phone or GPS device.

25K: Recommended, Gloves or mitts; Waterproof trousers (taped seams); First aid kit.

56K and 100K: also mandatory, Gloves or mitts; Head torch (two for the 100K); Survival bag / foil blanket; Waterproof trousers (taped seams); First aid kit.

Hot weather (we'll confirm before and on the day): Sun hat; Sun screen; Sunglasses; Extra water.

Cold / adverse weather (we'll confirm before and on the day): Second pair of gloves; Insulated jacket; Extra warm hat; Neck gaiter.
